Gulshan is the proud creation of Mr Rahman and his two sons, Mamun and Suffian. Between them they have over 45 years experience in the restaurant catering industry. Having still running a successful restaurant in Whitley Bay called Takdir for 36 years, the opportunity came along to expand into the beautiful picturesque village of Tynemouth in late 2014. Gulshan opened its doors in February 2015 after a full renovation on the old Sonnys Italia site.

Gulshan is located in the village of Tynemouth and a stones throw away from the mouth of the Tyne River on the North East coast of England.
Tynemouth has stunning beautiful clean beaches like Longsands and King Edwards Bay. Prominent on the headland overlooking the river is the Tynemouth Priory and Castle, dating back to the 11th century. The village itself is part of the English Heritage and is now a conservation area.
Gulshan can be translated as a ‘garden full of blossomed flowers’. A flower garden is always a place of peace and comfort, that gives pleasure and is full of colour and aroma. We can define Gulshan as a symbol of pride, elegance and delicacy. Gulshan is exclusive. Gulshan is class and prestige. Gulshan is refreshing. Gulshan is splendid. Gulshan is delicious. Gulshan is humble and friendly. Gulshan is distinct. Gulshan is exquisite
